We owned a house on Lake Blue Ridge in North Georgia for two decades and thoroughly enjoyed summers on the lake with family and friends.

The City of Blue Ridge is a town of about 1,500 people in Fannin County, which has about 25,000 people. This small population doesn’t prevent the city from producing a terrific 4th of July Parade each year. There is a strong art community in Blue Ridge, and that flavors the parade. The parade through downtown has wildly diverse elements, including political floats this particular year since 2014 was an election year. It is a throwback to simpler times of life in America with fun and festivities for all. Enjoy the spectacle!
