We were in New York in the fall of 2013, spending an extended weekend with dear friends, seeing shows and enjoying the restaurants and other things New York has to offer. On Sunday afternoon we walked out of our hotel and went up to Madison Avenue, where we discovered there was a Hispanic Columbus Day Parade, with marching groups representing all the Hispanic countries of Latin and South America. It was a visual and auditory treat. So many people having fun and celebrating their cultural heritage. I did not have my SLR camera, so I just took pictures with my phone.
