My memories of the trip include:  Being completely in awe at Point du Hoc, realizing the Rangers somehow scaled the sheer cliffs with Germans pouring fire down upon them.  Feeling very deep emotions walking the American Cemetery in Colleville-Sur-Mer, the endless, perfect rows of tombstones of all the young men that perished in the Normandy invasion.  Being surprised at the degree of warmth and thankfulness the French of Normandy still feel for Americans.  Being awed by the incredible architecture and artistry of the stained-glass windows of Sainte-Chapelle.  Being enthralled by the wondrous creation of Mont-St-Michelle in its spectacular setting.  Being dazzled by strolling among the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame Cathedral, legendary and historic structures.
